Esquirel — BSP and Map Editing Tool

Esquirel is a tool shipped with Urcheon that can parse and modify Map and BSP files.

Trivia

Esquirel is the Englo-Norman word for “squirrel”, from the Old French “escurel” that displaced Middle English “aquerne”.

Some Unvanquished contributors have the habit to name some of their tools after animal names, like Chameleon, Sloth, Mantis, Urcheon and Esquirel!

Status

Esquirel has been used when porting Tremulous maps to Unvanquished (see the blog article by Illwieckz).

The tool is under development by Illwieckz.
